Opportunities and Challenges: How to Increase the Impact of Your Work in a Changing Scholarly Communication Environment

Opportunities and Challenges: How to Increase the Impact of Your Work in a Changing Scholarly Communication Environment In-Person

Andrew Wesolek

From open access journals and books to blogs and tweets—scholarly communication is changing rapidly. This increasingly complex environment through which scholars share the results of their research offers both opportunities and challenges for the individual researcher.  Clemson University’s Head of Digital Scholarship, Andrew Wesolek, will discuss the changing face of scholarly communication, and concrete steps that authors can take to increase the impact of their work by enhancing its visibility on the open web.

Mr. Wesolek will facilitate an open dialogue about digital projects (such as online journal publishing, digital humanities projects, open education resources/textbook publishing, etc.) taking place at UCCS to help the Library develop future services.

Registration is optional and light refreshments will be served.
